Since 1975 I have been involved in supervision and supporting fellow practitioners:
At the Limes Grove NHS general practice I was part of a collaborative peer-supervisory team.
As founder-manager of the ISIS Centre for Holistic Health, I was responsible for a team of over a dozen therapists.
With the IDHP I learned the strengths of peer-support and cooperative inquiry.
At the School of Integrated Health (University of Westminster) I was part of the supervision team for clinical training, and was course leader for the MSc in Advanced Professional Practice.
My research in this field [see article] has convinced me that CPD should be person-centred and holistic to be truly effective.
